Hi all, I have been a lurker for a good few months now, and I have finally found the car I wanted, and locally too!
What spurred me on to fulfill my lifelong dream sooner rather than later was loosing a close friend to cancer, and suffering ill health myself
for a good part of this year. I took the plunge and purchased my dream car on the 3rd December.
I am now the extremely proud owner of a DB9, she is everything I wished for and bite the back of your hand beautiful.
They say you should never meet your heroes as they can be flawed, but I can honestly say that she has lived up to my dream in every way.
Both sons are just waiting for the day when I consider them suitable candidates for the driving seat, until then she remains for me and me only! pics to follow.

Well done Steve. It's amazing that when you buy an Aston Martin the reality is actually better than the dream. And what a dream it is. Not many things you can say that about. What spurred me on to fulfill my lifelong dream sooner rather than later was loosing a close friend to cancer, and suffering ill health myself

Beautiful car, although I don't know how you will get the sheepdogs in and how it will fare pulling the plough across yon 10 acre field!
It's sad that it takes a tragedy to realise that life is short and precious. Your story sounds similar to mine in that a friend and neighbour of mine developed and died from cancer, same age as me. It spurred me on too. Best of luck with it, they truly are a fantastic car ( and mine is just the boys Scalextric with a mere V8 engine! )

Nice car.
As a farmer, I'm sure you'll be using the massive boot to transport animals around the farm, and of course the superior off road traction of the DB9, not to mention of course the bril towing ability .........
Hey if I owned a farm I still have one ......
