Merry Xmas & an Astontastic New Year.
Discussion
I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas
and a simply "Astontastic" New Year... filled with the sound of roaring V8's and bellowing V12's .
Also may I say a big thank you to those that have supported the Aston guide, I hope 2013 is happy, healthy and prosperous for you all
I thought this photo taken by Greg (Mr Noble),from the Pistonheads photo thread, was ideal for Xmas. It shows that even in winter we will brave the cold - roof down - to best hear the engines roar and risk frozen feet to get a good shot of our pride and joy... Aston's certainly aren't just another car ... have good un!

I'll tell you a little story if you like.
The day I took that picture, I was on my way to collect a mate of mine who was getting married. I was asked if I would be a gent and take him to his wedding in the Aston.
I arrived near his house a bit early and passed that road which looked rather pretty, so I thought I'd pop up, turn around and take these pictures.
I then got back into the car and couldn't make it move. It just span and span it's wheels. I actually ended up sliding about 20 feet down towards the main busy road and fully sh4t my pants!
Eventually, just before calling mountain rescue, a nice postman came along in his post van and helped push me straight whilst I tried to drive it onto the main road.
A thoroughly scary experience and one I hope never to have again.
I was only ten minutes late in picking my buddy up, and hit was a fantastic wedding too
Marry Christmas to you all!!

I assumed you had winter tyres on for the pic!! No way that would be easily driveable from there... Glad it turned out OK and what a great pic Seasons Greetings and a Merry Christmas to you all. And raising a glass of sherry to an Astonautic New Year that continues like 2012; here's to the next meet up and drive out!
