I need to change the boots as the Pirellis are worn out already. What would you go for from this list

Id stick with the OE Bridgestones unless you are doing a lot of trackdays and need some thing more sticky ...or you need winter tyres...anything else is just going to be an experiment

im on my 4th set of them now, and havnt found them lacking in any area enough to want to change for an all round road tyre

Thats is very cheap , i bet they are not the AM9 RE050 tyre that Aston recommend.
Bridgestone make 2 of RE050 tyre one for regular cars , then one for aston's .(harder sidewall).
Double check that they have AM9 on them.

I paid about £210 each rear and £180 ish fronts from a local indy last time

make sure you get the AM compound that the car is set up for

alternative are Pirelli corsas, but they are really trackday tyres - extra sticky when hot, but liable to put you in a ditch if you get caught out in heavy rain with standing water ...also only last a few thousand miles etc if you drive hard

as usual, everything is a compromise, and in an ideal world we would all have 3 sets of wheels n tyres

Pirelli corsas for those hot summers days and track
RE50s will do for commuting and general road word
Pirelli winter tyres for the 3-4 cold months of the year

Newbie questions what are the sizes?
Toyo T1R's and Good Aysmmetrics are well proven on other RWD cars
I use Event Mobile as do a couple of Porker owning mates
Good pricing, they will come to you and they take good care of your wheels

thats the best price ive seen - £630 a set smile

never bothered with Nitrogen ...its not exactly as if you have some at home for a top up when you need it, so always seemed like extra hassle

just less pressure difference with heat , i suppose should keep it more stable will give it a bash worst case you can always top up with air ,just checked invoice it was £661 for tyres my mistake, still a damn good price & got it in writing so they have to give me them for that price regardless if they have made a mistake

cheers

Hi Subsea
That is £660 fitted or just supply? And inc VAT? Fairly amazing price. Are you London/SE, be interested to know which S**F*t you rang. I tried them a few months ago and it was a case of 'Aston what'...!

Subsea

great tip. Got my four new tyres done today - RE050A, AM9s - fitted at KFit in Chelsea, under the BP garage, for £735 all in. Have driven and feels fine. Saving £800 on dealer price. cheers mate.

for anyone else - they have the deal on these tyres till May 31st so book in fast. also recommend going (if you can) to a place that is used to dealing with AMs. I just thought of the poshest area I could and then looked at the nearest KFit and sure enough the bloke there (Matthew) does a load.

yeah i had kept an eye on the lad that was doing them and he did a sterling job so well pleased

would be a good idea to even just buy the tyres and store them until you do need them at that price you would probably get them for just over £600 for supply only.

anyone needing them get in now before the offer ends
