Spoke to Focused and the deal is £80 if paid in one lump so I will need the following info for those that are coming in on the deal:

Name
Address
PostCode
Telephone Number
Email

Bike
Biking experiance (total)
Number of Track days
Prefered Group Fast / Inter / Novice

To save clogging up the thread I suggest people email me with the above details once I have the money off people I will put up the definative list.

If anyone feels happier booking directly with Focused then please feel free, (although it will cost £89), but let me know so I can add you on the PH list.

Hope this OK with everyone?

Hands up who's sent the details & is a definate !!!

Can we make this a sticky & not the other ?

As you can probably tell from the question - I have never done a track day before.

What will the times be for the sessions? Trying to work out if I can get up there on the day, or need to travel the day before.

Thanks

Bit of an odd one as it's before the clocks change so still fairly tight with daylight.

Likely to need to be there by 8 - 8.30 at the latest to sign on and go to briefing.

Usually first session is at 9 then 20 minute intervals.

Focused tend to do a sighting only first session wich is good for first timers or if it's damp etc. Not certain whch group they send out first though.

Worth getting there earlier if ou want/need a garage though as these get full pretty quickly if it's wet/cold

Hi Hobo,

I think Lily is right - the best time for this would be April at the earliest. It could even be snowing in March! Normally with track days at this time of year, people book up a day or so before when they've had chance to check the weather.

What does everybody else think?

Rob.

Suggest no later than 8am as you have a few things to do if you are riding down.
Reduce tyre pressures, tape up lights, remove/tape mirrors, sign on, breifing, then on track Novice group will be first out.

Have arranged that we will have 1/2 garages dedicated to PH depending on numbers.

I don't think the cold is the problem but March could be snow or basically general bad weather! It's not like the track is local to all of us we could end up arriving soaked and cold. Much better to arrange when we know the weather will at least be warmer - don't you think?

I'm easy either way. March time, although far from ideal, 'should' still be ok. If not march then I'm afraid I won't be able to do another until mid may.

March is a little to weather high risk for me too. Sorry. Will certainly consider a later one though.

I'm still a bit undecided on this: part of me thinks March is a little to early and as I am a n00b and this'd be my first trackday I'd far rather have a dry track, ta. The other part of me understands that this is Britain ffs! There's no guarantee of dry weather!

So it comes down to getting leathers, which I am trying to arrange a cheap set from a friend, so if I can get them I'll go and if not I'll wait until later in the year.

I'll sort the booking out meself rather than put anyone else out with my indecisiveness. Thanks for actually getting the finger out and organising this anyway.
