Management bulls**t phrases
Discussion
The other day a college said the phrase "Sam is quatterbacking this project". He is not American and he has never been there. He often comes out with these cliché lines, I have no idea where he gets them from. He also over uses "action words" (I think that's what their called). What other phrases are there? I want to start taking the piss out of him.

I think moving forward you should reach out to your colleague and take these issues you have off-line, maybe have a 1-2-1 with him. Try and think outside of the box, work on the low hanging fruit first etc.
I suggest a synergistic approach to this. Revert on the paradigm, and lets do lunch and talk turkey.Dr.Doofenshmirtz said:

'Going forward' when you mean 'in the future'.

Are you using voice to text software to type that?Yes, it is f'ing annoying.
I suggest the "death by questioning" strategy.
i.e.
Him: Sam is quarterbacking this project
You: I don't understand what you just said.
Him: Quarterbacking
You: What?
Him: A quarterback, like in American football.
You: This is a football project, in America? How exciting! But I think my passport has expired.
Him: No, I was using a sports metaphor.
You: Oh right. So when am I supposed to fly out?
Him: You're not.
You: But you said we were going to America to play football.
Him: No, it was just an example of the role that a quarterback plays.
You: What role does he play?
Him: Quarterback.
You: Right. So he's flying over here then?
etc
