As I recall, this belongs to the owner of 'Furniture Factors'; an independent furniture shop in Doncaster famous for its white elephant logo that can be seen across the while town. It (5 FF) has been on a few rollers and bentleys since at least the 1980s. Don't remember the guys name off the top of my head.

In NZ you can have any combination of up to six letters/numbers you want - unless it is rude or someone else has it.

So there I was the other day and saw the plate ANALSE, is there a letter missing or is the owners name Analise?

I had it in my head that NW 1 used to be Norman Wisdom's but I was wrong:

It was 1 NW.

He acquired it c1968 and it was on his Rover 2000. He acquired it by buying a motorbike with the plate in Leeds.....and claimed the procedure inluding reselling the motorbike resulted in just a £25 loss!

He then disposed of his previous registration NW 4 together with his Bentley Continental on which it was displayed.

I spotted TH05 PAM on the A3 this week, so assuming the owners are called Thomas and Pam is a pretty cool number.

Ask 5LDC that question. IMHO he articulated it very well. My view is it is a 'standard' VRM yes we could guess that a female driver might be called Pam but the reference to Thomas is stretching it somewhat.

There is no Local Memory Tag beginning with 'T' so as the number is clearly a 'Cherished' one in its entirety (and an early 2005 plate on a 2006 car), I reckon it is a good bet that the old man is called Thomas.

Probably so, but I see loads of similar plates every day.
They are very personal to the owner, not mis-spaced etc, but hardly "real good."

Probably been seen already, but on the way home from work saw two white new looking rollers (phantoms?) With the plates RRO8 PET and RRO9 PET one behind the other.

Not strictly on topic, but if I were to acquire a plate such as 'RE 65' or similar, what would the rough value be if I wanted to shift it on within a few months?

I mean, 4 digit, relevant numbers (date) and initials - no Z's etc

IMO it depends massively on the desirability of the letters and plates.

WX 32 say, wont be worth what AJ 88 would as letters would be more saleable and numbers would more likely be a birth year or lucky to someone.
