Barristers are often self employed so presumably that is declared income and the rest they siphon via dividends and other tax minimising methods.

I'd agree. It says the average for chartered accountants is about £40k. My firm pays more that that to our newly qualifieds so it seems very low as an average.

AFAIK They can't pull any of those little scams. For obvious reasons they have to be much straighter than most. That said that number is obviously complete BS except maybe for the junior criminal bar.

38 out of 352 is not bad I guess although I wouldn't get out of bed for this but it is an average so from graduate level right up to those of us with 25+ years experience.
