Best smoker barges 1-5 large [Vol 10]
Discussion
Ross that looks fantastic. I happened on the ad earlier if anyone wants to see more pictures http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/b...
It certainly does your car justice having had the privilege of a ride in it at the sad-old-man barge meet at MB world!

Nothing else bar an S210 seems to have the boot space, pretty much everything has a slanted rear door/roof.
Does everyone think i should get something like this then?

P1 v70 has all the space you'll ever need, same applies to earlier 850/940 and 740. All great cars! As is the 210.Does everyone think i should get something like this then?

Would be really useful next weekend but not sure I'll have the money that quick, this particular car is only a few miles away but I can't tell the reg plate in the pictures to check mot history etc.
Are these reasonably reliable? it says it's had the head gasket set, steering rack, rear shocks and exhaust replaced with bills back to 2004 but doesn't state when the work was done.
I believe these have cambelts due every 50k? not sure when done last. Probably not that expensive to do a oil + filter, air filter and spark plug change though.
8 years and 80k miles for cambelt, but many do them slightly earlier.
ETA
If 4wd is important to you then check it is as many/most become fwd due to an inadequate splined coupling rounding off. It sometimes takes the transfer box with it, too.

Sorry, i meant the older one cambelt wise as linked below. RWD is what i prefer so the 940 has that.
This is the car i meant for 50k cambelt intervals?

I just picked the xc as it was first on ebay near me. I remember hearing about it wearing quickly if tyres were not of similar tread level.
Ideally I prefer RWD. I've never actually driven a car with 4WD before.

Thanks guys
Spent around 2-3 hours cleaning it earlier.... Only about an hour on the paintwork and wheels but also hovered and cleaned the interior, door shuts, cleaned the boot out, gave the engine bay a quick once over.....
And it later proceeded to rain, naturally.
I wanted some decent pics for the advert but had no idea where I could go that wouldn't be too busy, so ended up just going for a random drive and stopped off at a few places, did around 75 miles!

Shameless picture whoring of the barge if it's allowed after a wash and a drive in the New Forest earlier
Does look in beautiful condition.I'm the only person who still thinks it looks bloody weird.
Does anyone else get the effect from this photo that you can't quite tell if the front of the car is concave or convex?
(it is a lovely example, Ross, don't take my persistent doom shower personally )
