Looking at the peak power, does it mean that your gearchanges should now be at 5,000 rpm (instead of 6,000 rpm) for maximum acceleration?
I think that you're looking at the torque (which peaks at 5k). The power (the lower graph in the bottom right hand corner) keeps on climbing to the redline.Great numbers either way!

Now here's a point for debate.I may be wrong but I'd have thought the important thing was where the next gear slots onto a point of the torque curve where it can do most good... On a well spaced 'box that surely means changing past peak torque (on the basis that the average torque will be higher by sitting 500rpm both sides of peak torque than 1000 rpm before or after)
Power has got sod all to do with acceleration.
Of course I accept completely that if you've got an artic' bearing down on you, you'll hang onto the gear you're in!
