We took Annie out for a swim. Her recall still needs some work so she swam on the retractable lead.

She then went to the park for some off leash zoomies
Then slept the sleep of the contented.

Those extending leads aren't really recommended for greyhounds, particularly used on a collar. The speed they can set off and the speed they would reach the end of it could cause serious damage to their neck. On a harness, maybe, but I'm not a fan of them in general.![](https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/14088482_10154480183949264_4144855465657791359_n.jpg?oh=1475318132caf2f8008fabe27d271dc5&oe=5840012A)

God knows how he manages to lay like this?

Only on the rare occasions does the little one show any affection or actually want to be near scout!

Dogs are pragmatic if its good for them then its good for them. Lovely pics. Nothing better than a content sleepy Dog![](http://thumbsnap.com/sc/f1rZcmNc.jpg)

He's always laying in places that just look damn uncomfortable, he doesn't use a bed at all. Tried different beds, blankets, quilts etc but he just prefers the floor with his face against a doorframe, radiator, gate etc or the sofa! Other dog is complete opposite, will do anything to lay on something soft, and has several beds about the house!

Yep - she has a normal lead for any walks. The extendable one is purely for the swimming - even on the beach she had it swapped over. It's only a temporary measure until her recall training is improved. LivingTheDream said:

Wasn't on my wish list to get a dog, the Mrs and kids thought it would be a good idea however after 12 months I'm really attached to the little fella![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
