Threw this up last night just as a test https://youtu.be/82htSr2yOS0
Didn't have one good game yesterday, but got somewhere near to my usual Junkrat here and there's a funny explosion. Pausing to tut to myself at 1:38

Nice shot on that Tracer I struggle to play her like I used to with the rocket launcher many moons ago in Q3, so not one I play very often.
Getting some footage together to upload, I'm trying taking moments out and saving them as webm instead.
McCree and Ana have joined my regular heros now. I have a few 'tiers' for this; Main-ish; Junkrat - Higher potential; D.Va, Zenyatta, possibly Hanzo - Regular picks; Soldier, McCree, Ana, Genji - When needed; Pharah, Roadhog, Reaper, Rein, Bastion, Widowmaker, Lucio - Never; everything else.
I played a few custom AI games with Ana and realised it's easier than I thought. Can be really rewarding to play, you can really save someone's ass (ie. stop Roadhog getting a chain kill) or prevent a push being shut down, though she doesn't work for me on some maps and I'm still nervous on defense.

It'll be interesting to see how Ana plays after the PTR nerf. A nano-boosted Reinhardt is a sight to behold at present
Have to say, I can't see me playing this much over the coming weeks (months?). We seem to have gravitated to BF1 but I'll certainly be keeping hold of the disc and giving this a blast from time to time. Also, it is inevitable that there'll be a DDOS attack on EA servers over Xmas.

Tried comp finally, placing and played just one match. I'm undecided if I want to play it again at this point
I placed 2245, which I was happy with considering I did have a few bad periods, one leaver and a very unlucky loss. 5/5 in placements.
I'd like to have thought Platinum was not out of the question with what I'm sometimes able to pull off with certain heroes, despite having not so good rounds with them from time to time (don't we all), though it's some time into the Season at this point.
QP is different, but not that much beside ruleset, you do get good teams reasonably often; I don't want to make too much of myself though I do hold high standards, I know I am fully capable of contributing significantly to changing a game with my best heroes and thought this could translate.
On Gibraltar, we have a score draw, but the other team gets the win as they got it further (it rolled back past where we pushed it by the end). I didn't do well at first with Junkrat on def, but kept at it as I couldn't see what hero I could do more with. I got better towards the end and was on fire for more than half of the last phase, killing two in the four player wipe which shut them down. Second round on attack, I go Zen along with our Ana and have one of my best attacking games with him, helping to push to the end after we nearly lost before checkpoint 2.
I lost 65 SR!!!! I gather 40+ would be more normal, and I get this for such a close loss??? This has pretty much completely disenfranchised me from trying comp again. If I'm going to loose this much for a single loss, any real improvement is not going to happen with the meagre winning points, there's no way I'm that misguided on my real level? I know I'm not whatever some might say.
I haven't played multiplayer game that uses MMR type ranking before so this probably has something to do with my thoughts.
Is it better to treat it as just an arbitrary number that simply matches you with similar players and forget trying to use it as any measure of improvement? But then to me, there's no real goal to play for otherwise? I have a hard time not treating it as an improvement goal. Not having access to a group can't be helping, though I've never had any issue communicating properly in chat.
Sorry about the waffle, I needed to type something out The new arcade mode looks great, and gives QP a place between that and Competitive.

The usual lot I play with are loving 3v3 elimination mode at the minute. It is really good by all accounts and sounds similar to game mode in Destiny which we enjoyed a lot. I'll dip in this evening and give BF1 a bit of a rest.
I'm looking forward to giving Sombra a try and also the next season landing shortly.

Couldn't agree more. It is infuriating and satisfying in equal measure. So much so that I am not playing BF1 as much.
Currently still in the diamond ranking with a season high of about 3115 or so. Not bad... But nowhere near as good as one of the squad who has just hit 3500+ His lobbies are filled with people displaying the top 500 icon. No thanks.
I highly recommend 2v2 or 3v3 with friends in custom games. So much fun.

Had to give this up, bit disappointing really. As said above it was utterly infuriating but so satisfying too.
It just kept crashing though. I tried swapping graphics cards, nothing. I tried reinstalling windows, nothing.
No other game ever caused my machine to crash, which is a big shame.

New map hype!
Enjoying quick-play quite a lot. Less try-hard and a different pace. Easy to get a good run together:-

We've given up on this too. Just won't work on Xbox one.
Keeps trying to update itself, but can't/won't connect and complete. Fixed it last time with a full reset of the console, but can't go through the hassle of that again for the sake of all the other games and settings.
Shame, as we really enjoyed it.

I had issues for a while ,turned out if I had the origin app running ,battlenet wouldn't work.If I closed the origin app,it worked .It just kept crashing though. I tried swapping graphics cards, nothing. I tried reinstalling windows, nothing.

I also had issu with the nvidia drivers ,the latest version caused issues so I put on the previous drivers and it stopped crashing .Then a few weeks later battlenet wouldn't connect so I uninstalled battlenet ,re-installed it and its worked flawlessly ever since.
Love the gam but the competitive ranking system is just nonsense .im sure the top 500 are brilliant players but it seems to me the luck that of your team pick is more important than skill in progressing.

Agreed. There are some players, probably me included () where you wonder how the actual f**k they got the rank they did. You can spot them a mile away- will spam a certain hero for the team to pick before picking a completely unsuitable hero and then dying. A lot. Also seems like the toxicity of players has risen, at least on PS4. "Won't pick who I want you to pick? Fine. I'll be Torb. On attack"
Still play when others are about, otherwise I've recently re-discovered Battlefront. So much pick up and play.
