Whilst the gap was quite short - it does look like the pug also tried to slam the door on the beemer.
It does look like it, but the pug was just coasting along whilst traffic ahead was casually slowing down in all lanes. That section of road is notorious for slowdowns in random lanes at random times during commuting hours. I'd been following the 316 since Fareham central and observed his driving throughout.I guess the pug could have anticipated the indication of the 316, but naturally didn't expect him to join the lane with a gap closing fast.
Man on a mission springs to mind

This is my problem with dash cam users - they lose all sense of defensive driving because the 'camera will prove I'm right'.Dash can warrior in a land rover causes a crash rather than making some room.

Looks to me like the fiesta cut across at the last minute, as there were two lanes on that exit.Dash can warrior in a land rover causes a crash rather than making some room.

LHD truck, car was sitting right where the driver couldn't see it.Not excusing the truck driver, but only an idiot sits in a truck's blind spot like that.

Check this 316ti with some weird custom exhaust out from this morning.
Lane 1 actually carries on for a bit longer before it exits off, lane 2 can join lane 1 much later giving ample time to merge with safe distances, even in commuting traffic.

8:50 This is why you look over your shoulder before merging. The DCW had quite long slip road but insisted on joining L1 as soon as possible, susquently drove into the side of a lorry already established on the motorway. Yes the lorry was changing lanes but he was still already established. Not only that but the DCW would have been in his blindspot.
Then his reaction instead of steering away from lorry and back on to the slip road is to slam on and stop in L1. Prat!

Some interesting ones in there, but like so many UK based dash cam videos, there's a lot of non-events in there as well.I've seen most of these before but from 5.32 is a damn good reason to have a dash cam, last one could have turned out really bad, I felt sorry for the woman in the Red car.
