So, it’s happened again.

I was trying to reduce the fleet, had my Mercedes s430 up for sale as I just didn’t use it as I use my e46 estate (also going when I return). Got a few offers of £1600 but was holding out for £1900 as wasn’t a rush to sell/nor in the country. Ended up getting offered a swap for a Porsche Boxster with no mot. It’s got something like 85k miles and a fsh apparantly.

I’m currently in the USA so haven’t seen the car in person, mum did the swap over (she’s a legend when it comes to this sort of thing as I keep doing it).

So until near the end of December this is all your going to get im afraid!

How it turned up at my house today, bad quality pictures as sent via Facebook.

Why it has no mot - had a new Cat apparantly so will see what’s what when I return.

Absolutely love that exterior colour!! This might be your best purchase yet, provided the engine problems aren't ridiculously expensive thumbup

The same Mercedes I bought for £750 a year prior...

Expecting to find real issues but I figure I can’t lose out money wise as I can always break it for bits.

So far I know it failed the mot on emissions and the drivers door doesn’t open from the outside.

I have a video of the roof working + engine running a with no smoke out the rear. Beyond that all I know is what I can see in the same pictures you guys have.

Never seen one that colour, makes it look more modern somehow, really nice, quite like that interior as well.

Hope you get it sorted cheaply, should make a nice car.

Have you got any diagnostic codes from it ? what is the Porsche system called and can you get hold of it cheaply ?

I think the wheels are off a 993 Targa. I agree, the exterior colour is an unusual one, but looks good.

The car was originally silver hence the unusual colour.

I don’t know the original but I assume your right. Does appear to be resprayed as i have never seen one this colour before. It looks similar to this one which google says is aqua blue which wasn’t a option from what I can tell.

I've just had a quick read of it's MOT history on line, it has had numerous failures for emissions over the years. I would suspect nobody has actually yet fixed the true cause and just keep patching it with new lambda's and cat's.

Probably got some perished vacuum lines somewhere.

Would explain the colour change.

I think it's a brilliant colour combination. You should keep the original orange light clusters on it too as they look great against the blue.

Yep, all I did to it was 2x £35 tyres just to mot and sell it and replace the dash clocks which I fried when jump starting it. So all in for like £900-£1000.

Exterior colour looks like Cobalt to me. Great colour if so, but I've my own reasons to think that!

What a great colour combination. Hopefully it’s not too hard to get it back to health again. I like the idea of one of these. Reasonable simple, responsive motoring.
