Just don't make me drink whiskey/whisky/bourbon. Hateful stuff.

I understand that some misguided fools like this disgusting brown liquid, but it just goes in and straight out again. And as my family were Robertson from Scotland in the mid 1800s, that's an awful thing to confess.
I'm sorry, we can't be friends.
If you don't like whisky then you're either a), broken, b), wrong or 3), fked in the head.

And on that bombshell, i bid you good night.
Steady on Bobbers.
You're not thinking this through. Think of the long game.
He thinks he doesn't like whisky. Entre nous old boy, that's because he has only been exposed to inferior concoctions. Not actual whisky as we civilised chaps know it.
Imagine a life bereft of the subtle glory of Caol Ile...Or the Black Bowmore...
Doesn't bear thinking about, does it?
But if he makes the sacrifice, all the more for you and me.
Be nice now. He's more to be pitied than scolded. And somebody has to drink Battert's offerings.

that last bit didn't sound right

On th subject of flavoursome rums - Stroh 80 is recommended. I once brought a dozen bottles in thru Auckland. Chap at customs put my bags thru th x-ray thingymabob. I had a baby on my hip, chap said "that's a lot of baby food glasses, you've got there". Indeed, I replied.

Exactly what I was afraid of.
Last time I couldn't find my fingers for a week
Battert's fluids I mean. Not baby food.

Perish the thought.

I'm rather partial to a good whiskey, something I've passed on to my youngest.
Mrs B brought home from canada a bottle of Canadian bourbon with maple syrup in it... she likes it in coffee...

Morning all.

Sorry Bobbers, I'm none of those things. At least I don't think I am!

It's not so much I don't like the stuff, it doesn't like me. Nothing works faster at emptying my stomach. In a previous life I must have drowned in a car of the stuff or something. It's the one drink that I've never been able to stomach.

Anyway, if you don't want to be my friend I'll just wander off on my own and explore this rather interesting hangar over here....

It's fine thanks. I think the blood pressure tablets help make sure it stays that way. Why? Are you going to give me a fright? What's in this hangar thing anyway? The door is a bit stiff.

If you hang about you will probably find out that there’s a few of us of a certain age that have been using the full benefit of various health systems recently.

Good morning everyone. Slight bit of rain t the moment but after that the forecast is showing no rain for the whole of the week!
There’s no end to the stuff I can get done then.

No Doctors appointments or hospital ones this week so I’m free as a bird!

Have a good Sunday all.

Thanks Bomma

Fout.

yikesNOOOOOOO!!! DO NOT OPEN THAT HANGAR DOOR!!!nono

You have no idea of what lurks in there, nor how to deal with it/him!!!
You need at least a large crate of tinned pilchards as a distraction, and even then you could still end up as a pelican's dessert.
And Geordie Barrett will never get his sock returned intact!
For the love of God, man, please heed my warning!

Stay away from the Hanger, unless Bomma is about anyway, that loony bugger is the only one who can control what is inside or, in some cases at least, knows the shelf life of certain items in there.

Why do you think i prefer being at distance? I ain’t daft young Jordie

Oh no, I just lent against the Sunderland’s starboard float and it snapped off whilst I was attending to the rope that had got caught around the wing. I guess it’s not going anywhere until that’s fixed. It’s hanging loose above the water. I think we have a spare cross member in THAT hanger where the contents are being guarded.

Good morrow fellow Trivialities everywherewavey
A ninterupturd night's sleep, Mrs Bobbers awake again at 0500ish with painful restless legs, spent another 20 minutes rubbing and stretching them for her, bless her she was asleep about 10 minutes after she's so tired.
Some shopping and then meeting my mum and aunt for Sunday lunch at a carvery pub!!

Was it my imagination or did I hear screaming coming from the hangar last night, accompanied by what sounded like Penfold in full territorial protection mode???
Pity the poor sod who foolishly went near...........oh......oh dear, it was the new chap, that Socky bloke wasn't it??? yikes
Are we going to have to dig another grave?
Did he manage to placate Penfold??
Did he survive with just bits missing???
Has anyone even checked????

Gude Moaneve, Dear Residents and fresh young candidates for the pre-Initition induction course

I have caw tup at last, I have been stuggling with the pace these past few days, and yesterday was a toughie.

Would somebody please get a grip of young Jordie Barrett's sock and straighten him out with a few ground rules? We can't have somebody wandering about willy-nilly and half-cocked on his own like that.
There is far too much sensitive stuff about that could cause devastating clatterel if it were to be unearthed, not to mention the crates of rather sweaty Claymores and other out-of-date ordnance stacked precariously under Penrose's nest of twisted girders up in the hangar roof.
As well as his ornamental arrangement of skeletal remains over in the corner next to the cludgie. :shudder:

Even the Chief Constable knows better than to peep his head round the rear door of the Hangar.

IOTN, This morning's Elbow Test was remarkably negative, so I'm geared up for a day of fun fun fun.

I've been struggling a bit these past few days with one of the three 'S's, and no matter how much I squeeze my head, nothing comes out of the other end. frown
I fear that when it does eventually kick into action, it will be like one of those old really big blunderbusses* firing a large quantity of little orange oval capsules and brown Senna tablets incirporated into a pebbledash mixture at very high velocity.
Please stand well back, away from the cordoned area, until the all-clear is given.

NB, it may take the clean-up crew a few days to cope with the aftermath.

* The destination board reads "Sorry! Not in service "

And now, over to the Control Room. thumbup

Hello again chaps. That Penfold is a decent sort isn't he? Had a lovely coffee watching the Vegas GP on his Sky Q. Huuuuuuuuge collection of Absinthe. I'm sure I'll be right as rain once the pink gorilla and red elephant show me the way out.

I'll be ok to watch the Rugby on telly later won't I?
