Haha ... I'm starting to come to terms with this.

And maybe with a (possibly fruitless) search for a flieger-style pilot watch that can also display an 8-digit UTC date and time set.

There's good news and bad.
The good news is that this thread is a relatively sane place, compared to say the "incoming" thread, any thread with "Rolex" in it's title, or any of the dedicated watch fora. The thread budget limits discussions to moderately sensibly priced watches, even if we are quite liberal with the use of the "ish".
The bad news is that this erm, passtime is surprisingly addictive. Purchasses may be of a relatively low level (compared to those in the other threads), but they may become frequent!

So i've already got 5 watches incoming (mainly from ali express sale) but i had after a long wait an invite for a Helm Komodo so had to push the button!

Went for the limited edition model which should be here some time before christmas.

No idea of the exact number!

Just sold 3 so the obvious answer is to buy 6 more!

However one of those i'm buying just for the bracelet (steeldive willard) so will sell the watch on as soon as it arrives.

I'm also on the fence with the Helm so will see how it wears when it arrives, due to the waiting list for these i'll easily be able to sell it for what i paid if i'm not keen on it.

Will also have a few more for sale soon too.

I am looking for a yacht master type watch and have found this but what is the 3A movement, is it reliable and whats the difference between the Chinese and Japanese? Do any of you have something similar and will I be able to actually use it when sailing and it not fill up with water?
