I think it was the Florida Outlet Mall but I couldn't swear to it. That, BTW, was the starting price then you can modify/personalise your model (for extra $$$)

You sir, are a bad, bad man...

I'm currently thinking Challenger Torque Attack as that's my current hire car (this is the last of many, many trips out here for work in central Florida).

Rims and tyres and whatever to suit.

However, part of me also fancies the RZ Sling...

get 'em both - after all you're not going back for quite a while and send one to the UK just isn't the same. With postage it'll obviously cost more so you'd actually be saving money by getting a second thumbup

Custom tailored jeans.
£270, completely frivolous.

Love them.

I think that's quite reasonable compared to the prices you'd pay for some brands! Love them.

Seconded - you saved £539 compared to these and you won't like like a complete berk. Win-win.

Can any of you lot help me? I know a few of you have torch obsessions...

My ever so practical son in law has put a running head torch on his Christmas list. I know nothing about them. They seem to vary from about tenner up to £80/90 on Amazon and the brand Petzl seems to be the expensive one. I can get a Petzl tikka for around the £20 mark but will this be ok? Whats the difference between the cheap ones and the ninety quid ones?

It depends a lot where he’s running - I have the Nao+ as I do trail runs at night, so need it to be bright and last a long time. For road runs you don’t need it to be so bright. I got my OH the Petzl Aktik Core. Both I think are worth every penny. I had a LED Lenser H7R before that and it was fine. But I much prefer the Nao+ - for build quality and brightness.

I do think the Petzls are worth it - there are a lot of other brands and I’m sure they’re ok. Also depends I think how keen a runner he is and how much he’ll need it - oh, and how much you want to spend on him smile

You need this thread - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... There has been head torch recommendations on there but they might be a page or two back (if you are on grown up 80 posts per page)

These are more stocking fillers, pair of them are mostly having money as they've just bought a house so as much as I love him dearly I'm not spending £90 biggrin
He's a keen park runner but mostly runs the redways around Milton Keynes and I think a few lake runs etc but predominantly roads. I was looking at this one:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Petzl-Bindi-200-Lumens-Bl...

But is there a great deal of difference to this one?

I think you've nailed it, thanks! Someone recommended the Nitecore, which at £25 is perfectly in budget and looks perfect!

Mine arrived today. Went and tested it just now works very well. For £23 it’s definitely worth the money I’d say
After reading the above, not just one, but two ringing endorsements for this I thought I'd have a look myself - ended up getting it without any bundled SD card (got plenty of those knocking about!) for the princely sum of ten quid.
For the money it's bloody ace isn't it, I mean I still haven't worked out what I'm actually going to use it for yet, but I'm pretty sure the crummy spy toys I got bought as a kid cost more than this and didn't actually work. If nothing else it's going to keep my young daughter entertained for hours hunting the cat around the house in the dark biggrin
