Blanket grey in the North. 11 deg. Summer starts tomorrow.... apparently
I've been speaking to people 'up north' and apparently yesterday was glorious (talking about Manchester and Derby). 75Black said:
The difference some sun and warm weather makes, I had to turn the A/C on in the car on the drive home for the first time this year and it just made me feel more happier and positive than usual!
I’ve never turned it off - only time it turns itself off is below 2 deg C AC all year round stops the seals drying out and the gas escaping

Bit of an old wives tail that I think...I've DIY fixed AC on cars a few times, and it's always been a perforated Condenser at fault. The only other time was a knackered pressure sensor. AC all year round stops the seals drying out and the gas escaping

Colder and wetter again here next week.
Obviously not allowed more than a weeks worth of dry weather.
That'll teach you not to live in the Canadian tundra.Obviously not allowed more than a weeks worth of dry weather.
Meanwhile, in NE Suffolk, it's another glorious morning, with a fine day in prospect.
My sister's coming up from L8ndon for the weekend. She'll be heading to Southwold for a swim and I will probably be joining her!
(I won't be joining her.)

Next week, as previously messaged...
High pressure to east, high pressure to west - UK stuck in a low pressure washing machine
Joy. Make the most of this weekend then. Last weeks cricket need brollies and wellies, this week I am thinking I probably need to get some sun cream. I dont burn that easily at all but 4 hours in the sun wearing white is not to be trifled with. High pressure to east, high pressure to west - UK stuck in a low pressure washing machine

Sad times.
I played 9 holes of golf before work today and it was absolutely glorious. Really, a wonderful, life affirming morning.
My sadness at the impending bad weather is immeasurable.
I'm with you. As someone who enjoys being active, nice weather makes such a difference to your state of mind. I live about as far south as you can in the UK, what else can I do bar move overseas?!I played 9 holes of golf before work today and it was absolutely glorious. Really, a wonderful, life affirming morning.
My sadness at the impending bad weather is immeasurable.
