Low insurance is usually due to low annual mileage. I pay £128 on a E46 330ci convertible with 2000 miles. £90 on my TR7. Business miles when I've insured my cars has never changed my price, as long as it's not 'commercial'. Flitting between offices, or not having a home base which is my business miles

Usually my wife is on the policy and that reduces the price a bit, but a recent accident on her insurance (not mine) tripled the price on the 330ci,, nearly doubled the 435 , and my TR7 she was never insured on.

My caterham is £140, has been for years. I think it came down a few pounds this year.

£140 on Mrs V.'s Mitsubishi based on 12k per year. The car barely does more than 2k a year, but we keep on forgetting to reduce the mileage each year as it's dirt cheap.

£160.48 for my Boxster S. Includes business use!
Similar price to the insurance for my 911, also with business use.
That's very good, who with?
Mine is with Privilege
I've just had a quote, no where near your figure for the CLK, a little cheaper than my current insurer, but not enough to tempt me.

My 911 Turbo (996) for ~£250. Very reasonable!
My TT with a couple of years' NCB is ~£330 (just renewed!). I'll accept that, too.

I do wonder from this why all of my cars have always cost so much.

Yes, some have been a bit expensive, but very far from all of them. Decades of never claiming, occasionally one SP30, cars always insured as garages and in “decent” parts of town.

The same with my bikes.

Sheddy V50 diesel with my wife and I on it, fully comp was £160.00 this year which is the least I've ever paid annually for car insurance (Aside for £80 a year for a "laid up" policy on a car that never left the garage / was SORN but that doesn't really count) Saved a whopping £20 over last years premium too, therefore not a fully paid up member of the "everybody's insurance has gone up" society.

Mine hasn’t gone up either. Don’t get me wrong my insurers tried it on it this time round at renewal time with a near doubling of the premium. 10 minutes on a comparison site got it back down to slightly cheaper than the previous year, and then when I went to cancel my renewal with my existing insurer, they matched the quote!

Same circus every year.

Aviva. £3 reduction from last year. 3rd year with them. Free amendments online too. They weren’t particularly cheap for my M135 though.
