Joyrider TV, Joe Bennet showing exactly how fast you can go in a Hobie 16 mixed in with various instructional videos - https://youtube.com/@joyridertv?si=oR5LuhglTkeqEi6...

World War 2, the Second World War in real time weekly episodes plus hourly for Pearl Harbour and Dday. Might be a bit of catch-up for new viewers as they are up to 1945 https://youtube.com/@worldwartwo?si=gIhkyaXjIkWQJr...

Various plastic modelling channels.

Lots of MTB stuff but probably the oddest for me is Failrace and his GTA gaming content. Discovered him a few years ago through algorithms and I've been hooked on his monthly 'Survive the Hunt' videos since.

https://www.youtube.com/@FailRace

Won't be for everyone being a gaming channel but his monthly 'STH' videos are brilliant.

Unblocking drains - weirdly theraputic

Fungal feet & toenails being sorted

My wife says i'm sick & weird

No offence, but I'm with your wife.
I second that point
I'm with Rob on this one, something weird but engrossing about watching stuff like that.

Drainunblockers (and post10 for culverts, etc)
Ear wax removal
Draining cow/elephant abscesses
Cow hoof trimming (natethehoofguy)

getmecoat

Lots of pop science-y ones like Steve Mould, SmarterEveryDay, Tom Scott (before he stopped).

AvE, This Old Tony, Inheritance Machining, Furze and others for my fix of lathes and st.

Watching tradesmen just being good at their job is comforting. I tend just to get them via recommendations rather than any specific channels though.

Stuff like Bobby Fingers is unmissable. Bill Wurtz too. Although both don’t exactly churn out videos.

Being completely unmusical I somehow have a fascination with people breaking down and explaining how music is made. Rick Beato (good, but getting a bit up himself nowadays I think) and countless others that get recommended by the algorithm.

Patrick Boyle for a wry take on matters financial (check out his Neom video).

GCN and other bike channels, although YT seems not to be highlighting them as much nowadays…

Channels like RobWords where the origin and evolution of language is explained.

Brick Experiment Channel and others where various mechanical contraptions are built and tested, usually to destruction.

Those crazy videos from India or wherever where they build swimming pools, functioning hydroelectric dams etc. in the mud.

Feels like this could be a duplicate of the "YouTube Channel Suggestions" thread

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

I've picked up a few new ones from there.

On YouTube?

My current viewing includes Aquaholic - about boats and boating. Quite low-key/one man and his Go-Pro. A lovely mix of his boat and various yachts/boats of all sizes and prices.
Nick - AquaHolic guy - also has a channel called MotorHolic where he looks mainly at motorhomes which can be quite good.

Towtrucker - Guy in Atlanta who removes vehicles from housing complexes when they shouldn't be there or don't comply with the rules.

Some interesting interactions if he gets spotted by the owners!

Over the last few nights I've found myself watching some quite addictive walks round different areas of degredation.

Down at heel seaside places like Blackpool and Jaywick together with zombie towns like Waterlooville and parts of London like East Ham and Barking.

Generally there's no comnentary, just walking and filming. Grim yet fascinating at the same time. Never really noticed the amount of betting shops there are EVERYWHERE.

frown

Must find another hobby hehe
I watch these as well, there is one where the guy goes for a walk in the roughest areas and then goes for a drink in the flat roofed pubs in the middle of the massive council estates.

This goes against the title of the thread, but car detailing videos, Ammo NYC & WD Detailing etc, plus the US chap (maybe he's Canadian) who details utter sheds that are full of crap.

44teeth, Beards & Bikes, Stone Automotive for motorbike content (I haven't even got one)

Beard meats Food.

Random st where people do and try out things, like the best chicken wings & chips meal in the country. I like what Ciaran Carlin gets up to.

Pressure washing videos, like Bournemouth jet washing (I like to see the before & after)

Football related stuff,

Awaydays, Ciaran Carlin FC, plus the girl who does it too, Stuntpegg.

I don't even like football. Can't stand it!

We must have similar algorithms as all of those were suggested to me and I watch them as well. I don't have a motorbike either, but I loved the ones where he bought the ex orange county chopper bike and when he takes the old Harleys to be appraised by experts.
