968, he's still about but only posting in the Chelsea (football) thread by the looks of it.

Don't think I knew that, vaud, that is annoying. Made even more remarkable by the fact that from memory, it was on Jersey, I think.

I recall that breadvan72, much-missed of this parish, had a similar experience with a social-inadequate turning up unannounced and uninvited at his house to chat and see his cars.

I think it's odd people 'miss' internet entities. And to have someone in real life actually take the time to search you out, you must have put yourself out there in one way or another?

I seem to recall someone saying way back that BV had put all his personal details (name/address etc) on the forum. Could be wrong in my recollection.

Yes, he had identified himself. Doesn't excuse the invasion of privacy though.

IIRC he actually found them wandering around inside his barn looking at the cars without having announced themselves first!

Anyway, I'm reliably informed that P5BNij has been banned, and since it's well over 30 days since his last post, that appears to be permanent. Having read his posts on a few long-standing threads regularly, I really struggle to believe that he may have done anything malicious; innocent errors we're all capable of, but I can't think of anything he ever posted that wandered into perma-ban territory. Real shame, he was a font of knowledge on his chosen subjects.

That's rather concerning, I've posted multiple images that are not mine but none that have explicitly stated 'copyright of' although that is obviously implied. I certainly wouldn't persist if otherwise instructed not to though. Surprises me that PNB5ij did.

Exactly. If the copyright holder has been in touch on numerous occasions to ask it to stop and the poster doesn't, there's little option is there?

He wasn't home. The visitor interrupted the gardener to let him see the cars.

I still have my "what would Dave do" T shirt, unworn in a drawer rofl Perhaps it's now worth something as a "collectable"? biggrin

That really was a "classic thread", sad to hear that someone soiled the fun!

I always assumed they were from his personal collection, carrying a camera with him at work driving trains for decades. Seems it wasn't always thus. It is indeed a shame in that interesting corner of PH.

Disgusting behaviour.

He should have just hidden in the bushes like I did.
