Supercars spotted, some rarities (vol 7)

The original cars were all LHD and with no sunroof. Also the cut out in the rear wing was low down on the road car (although blanked out). Oddly the cut out was high up on the rally car. Not sure if the cut out was for brake cooling or to feed the oil cooler which was in the rear wing on the rally car

Always thought that this was the real deal. Not so sure now?

No that is the real deal too - the later S1 E2 evolution. The drivers complained of terminal understeer in the first Sport Quattros so the wild wing work was to improve grip at the front.
The huge box arches were for cooling. To reduce the weight at the nose (and thus the understeer) the E2 cars had the water radiators in the boot.

At a monthly Ferrari club show in Thousand Oaks, CA last Sunday, amongst all of the newer Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, Porsches, etc., I found these 70's icons much more interesting and attractive.
The blue 308 is my friend's car, soon to go on the auction block as he's added an F355 in the same color combination to replace it. The red Pantera is my '72, and the Merak was someone who pulled up and parked with his "generation."

Well I'm far more informed on SWB quattros now however I thought i had another one for the aficionados but alas I'm.confident this is some sort of kit on a more modest GTB. Shame really

Sadly it looks like someone has butchered an early 308 to make that. It’s not a simple re body job to make a 288 GTO replica. I think the wheelbase is longer on the 288 due to the longitudinal engine layout. That’s why 308s always look wrong as 288 replicas.LotusOmega375D said:

Yeah, quite a good turnout considering it was supposed to be thundering rain the whole time. Plenty of cars that seen in isolation would fit this thread well.I'll point out my 8 year old took a number of these photos!
Not pictured, a lovely yellow Murci SV. Loads of Porsches, including multiple GT.
