Hi Everyone
I been receive mobile speed camera fine. Before this when i seen this mobile system i called 101 police and report them because there are parked without camera sigh road and also i get confirm its not police car from 101 police line and also confirm by council they didnt send this mobile system to there. Only 1 camera sign 1,1 mile before they parked. From police and council i get confirm by phone and recorded this by phone its UNAUTHORISED by both side. What can i do for that letter? Its been send by central ticket office, gmppas.co.uk.

Anyone have similar problem or knowledge about that?

Thanks

There is no requirement for a camera sign.

Quite. In fact I've never ever encountered a mobile speed trap that had a warning sign before it!

What about this? Is there speed camera since who knows but completely DARK BLUE? Also far as i know trap speed camera against the law as well ?

In 2001 the law was changed so that speed cameras had to be painted yellow to ensure visibility. ... cameras must be visible from 60m away in 40mph or less zones and 100m for all other speed limit zones. signs must only be placed in areas where camera housings are located or where mobile cameras are in operation.

You can go to court and challenge it based on what you have posted or you can do a speed awareness course if offered or you can pay the fine.

How fast were you going and what was the speed limit?

That ruling was only for police forces that kept the money from speeding fines although I'm not sure they still have to be painted like that. Suck it up, you were speeding and got caught, if you aren't prepared to accept it then don't speed.

There are no requirement for mobile camera vans. They do not need to display a sign. They can even hide in a horse box if they so wish...

Do you understand the difference between the words 'fixed' and 'mobile'?

According to letter 41 mph by 30 road, i do not believe it because i seen this van staying here every week once so i never go speed because i know where they are ! But almost impossible to proof it .

Your first post you said mobile now you are saying fixed.

It's not been tested but in theory a caught can exclude any evidence that has been unfairly obtained. That could definitely include where a code of practice has been breached. But the court does not have too. They have to weigh up whether the probative value outweighs the prejudice.
Even more of a stretch would be to revisit the whole self incrimination if codes of practice are not complied with as the original HR finding was based on proportionality.....
Personally I would pay up or be more careful in the first place..
