Well its a bit extreme, that was dangerous thing to do.

But I am not surprised.

I don't think that the goverment understands the depth of feeling concerning speed cameras.

The majority of people who drive speed and given all the adds and information are aware of the potential consquenses of thier actions. Therefore I would suggest that they find this behaviour acceptable.

The way the goverment has approached this issue makes it seem just like an attack on personal freedom to raise revenue.

When they introduced the speed camera legislation they should have raised limits on the motorways, that way people would have felt less agrieved, motorways are our savest roads (mainly because there are no pedestrians to cause the accidents).

Excellent news! If that’s the SCAMera I think it is, it’s on a nice fast piece of NSL A-road out in the sticks – purely for revenue generation. A sensible one to blow up as there’s very little risk of anybody being in the vicinity to get hurt.

Anyone got an Abbot or a halftrack I can borrow for a few hours? Anyone got a list of sites of these Scameras? Obviously no connection to the two questions is there?!?!?

I think the Tuf Tuf club should come over to the UK for a 'driving' holiday and give us some 'driving' tips

irresponsible? well maybe a tiny bit, but it's for a good cause, and it's not like they put the cameras near schools or anything, so no kids are going to get hurt.

It's bloody marvellous to witness the violent hatred most of us seem to feel against these infernal devices; what better a symbol of our behavioural constraints than the speed detector?

They're from an Orwellian nightmare and they need to die.

Excellent.

Maybe it was a irresponsible act - the GATSO could be outside a school or near a hospital or something.

or was it possibly hidden behind a sign post on a duel carrageway.....

I know where I would put my money!

I went past this camera on Monday night on the way to Peterborough, and slowed down because of my Geodesy (doh!) I' m glad I keep it updated; on leaving Northants I like to put my foot down, but on entering Cambridgeshire there is a Gatso within 200 yards of the border, and about 4 more before you hit Peterborough!
