Speed Camera Bombed
The backlash is getting worse
Discussion
Well its a bit extreme, that was dangerous thing to do.
But I am not surprised.
I don't think that the goverment understands the depth of feeling concerning speed cameras.
The majority of people who drive speed and given all the adds and information are aware of the potential consquenses of thier actions. Therefore I would suggest that they find this behaviour acceptable.
The way the goverment has approached this issue makes it seem just like an attack on personal freedom to raise revenue.
When they introduced the speed camera legislation they should have raised limits on the motorways, that way people would have felt less agrieved, motorways are our savest roads (mainly because there are no pedestrians to cause the accidents).

irresponsible? well maybe a tiny bit, but it's for a good cause, and it's not like they put the cameras near schools or anything, so no kids are going to get hurt.

I went past this camera on Monday night on the way to Peterborough, and slowed down because of my Geodesy (doh!) I' m glad I keep it updated; on leaving Northants I like to put my foot down, but on entering Cambridgeshire there is a Gatso within 200 yards of the border, and about 4 more before you hit Peterborough!
