It has been known for people to ride into open doors on purpose, to raise some cash.

Was there a witness?, if not for how long was the door open?

PS It's not outlaw!!!, at least I don't think it is as I know this man, blame me for getting him in here as he'd never heard of it before a few months ago

Are you Outlaw in disguise???

confused WTF "outlaw" is that some sort of ghey bandit.....explain

"Outlaw" (aka "Roadrage") was a frequent poster on here until recently ... is he inside I wonder, it's been very quiet?. He was dyslexic. It is possible that certain similarities between your spelling and that of "Outlaw" have led to the enquiry - Streaky

Must admit, I was wondering where he has sloped off to.

I seem to remember him saying to 'Madcop' as he was, that if he couldn't handle criticism he shouldn't post it....

COME ON OUTLAW, lets have it.....

Tell the yank to shove his US style lawsuit up his A s s and go home!!
If he really has a bruised finger, then how did he dial his multitude of lawyers?

Having been as cycle courier myself I agree that you are in the wrong but poo happens and I think it should be left at that. The twit thinks he is entitled to ruin your life completely due to an accident.
I HATE this compensation culture crap

Forget all about it for now and wait and see if his threats amount to anything. Make a note of any potential witnesses though.

Unfortunately, you were in the wrong. However, the American culture of blame/suing, doncha just love it. Catching on here fast. How many drivers involved in accdents for which they are demonstrably not to blame now suddenly develop'whiplash' etc 24 hours after, when they've been appraised of what they can claim.

Hit an American student myself recently, or she hit me. Walked off the pavement into the side of my car as I travelled very slowly past. She bounced off and tripped on the kerb and fell on the floor but was shaken but not injured. She admitted she looked the wrong way before stepping off the pavement. I didn't take her details but I did report it to plod in case she suddenly developed injuries at a later stage tho' I was aware she didn't seem to have made any obvious effort to memorise my number.

I also made a mental note of the number of a taxi that was parked on the same side of the road facing what happened, with the driver sitting and watching, just in case I needed a witness. Got to have your wits about you when these things happen.
