Dangerous Audi TT driver stopped

You could say barking yes!.. not sure I was getting my ass kicked by an Audi driver though. I just did not wish to race him. I think I am a little older and wiser. Twenty years ago I may have succumbed to the temptation.
:-)
You mean you tried to keep up with him, but when he began to pull away at 120+ he became a wker...:-)
Not quite herebemonsters, I can appreciate your point were this to be the case. I was actually driving a car that was suitable enough to follow at speed should I have decided.
It was the topic of actually driving dangerous/ rather than just speed that needed the expletive and hence my original post.
A number of posters do agree with me that tailgating at high speed and undercutting to force other drivers to brake is as rightly mentioned "an accident waiting to happen".
Thankfully I have not been in this predicament maybe some have?

Let me see, at 70 the thinking distance is 30 ft, maybe not... What ever car you drive does not, and can not reduce the thinking distance, it can reduce the stopping distance.
Apologies if I have misread your post, which is possibls

what a bunch of c***s there are on here. The OP was mearely stating a fact that he was overtaken and saw some portentionaly dangerous driving. The bloke got stopped and might likely get banned given the speed the OP thought. End of.
Stop being a bunch of over analysingy tts.
Speed maters.
Dangerous and inapropriate speed means you are a C**t

"oh dear what"?
I think what Vipers refers to "oh dear" is that as the original poster I was highlighting speed and dangerous driving as a topic (afterall this is pistonheads is it not?). I got bombasted by a number of people who prefer to go into personal slating and seem to be more concerned about peoples names and whether thay have a car suitable enough to keep up with an Audi TT or not. All totally irrelevant. The relevance here is assessing safe driving as what could be described as "dangerous" driving:According to current legislation, a driver is guilty of dangerous driving in one of two ways.
Firstly, the way he or she drives falls far below what would be expected of a competent and careful driver, and secondly it would be obvious to a competent and careful driver that driving in that way would be dangerous.
There are two forms of the careless and inconsiderate driving offences:
• Driving without due care and attention, ie the motorist did not show the proper care and attention of a reasonable, competent and prudent driver;
• And driving without reasonable consideration for other road users. The evidence must show that other road users were inconvenienced by the inconsiderate driving of the defendant.
Speeding, using a mobile phone, reading a map, eating, drink-driving, plus many others incidents, could all be considered as dangerous and/or careless driving.
Vipers was, merely like me disappointed that there is a minority that are not using this forum for constructive comment. Maybe those in that category should read the above bullet points as they are probably more pertinent to them.
(No doubt I await a barrage

All good points, 4rephill particular.
Yes, I believe it not to be clear. He undertook me whilst I was travelling circa 70mph around30ft behind another car I was waiting to overtake.
I saw the black audi shooting up the inside lane and subsequent to me, travelling significantly faster than the 70mph I was. He pulled direct in front of me in a gap that was not there without me having to break hard in order to avoid a collision. I watched as he tailgated 3 cars at 90mph before accelerating off at the speed I quote.

I would eat my shoes if the police were able to get a conviction for DD based on your OP.Yes, I believe it not to be clear. He undertook me whilst I was travelling circa 70mph around30ft behind another car I was waiting to overtake.

As others have said, most likely a warning / points /a summons for speeding or DWDCA unless something was amiss with car or driver
Also the above extract sounds a bit fishy IMO, surly as an AD, you would have seen him coming and allowed room for this maneuver, the above post looks like you tried to close the gap on him.
As others have also said, judging speed differentials is incredibly hard, passing someone with a 10-20 mph differential can feel alot faster. Passing someone with a 70mph differential is another skill entirely - something that requires an extreme level of concentration and the ability to predict events and behavior before they unfold
