Used faxyourmp - referred to the ABD site and signed off with:

Could I ask that you add your voice to the opposition to the camera policy and push for a review of training methods and a return to the days of traffic police on the roads. Officers are able to apply discretion and can address instances of bad driving far beyond the capabilities of a single purpose machine. Let's use the motorists' taxes to pay for increases in police budgets to be used on manpower to make our roads safer - not for further tax gathering cameras.

This may not be entirely to everyone's satisfaction but at least I've given him a positive approach to try.

Interested in your thoughts.

Isn't speed the cause of ALL accidents?

i.e. if the car wasn't moving, there couldn't be an accident....

Current fatalities are at about the same level they were in the late 1800s. They didn't even have cars then. Horses are dangerous things... (cue nonegreen. Hey, where's he been the last two weeks? Last heard of heading for a train...?)

What a great website. My MP is going to hear about a whole lot of stuff now. Have mailed him an objection to speed cameras already this morning, a precise diatribe condemning these badly disguised revenue generators.

Having worked in internet technologies for 5 years, this is probably one of the most useful sites I've seen.
