I guess it's all added distraction.
I should imagine that for most people, more distraction (in the form of speed humps, ever more pedestrian lights, traffic islands, cameras for bus lanes, revenue cameras elsewhere and genelly more signage added every year added on top of normal hazard awareness requirements) is worse than less distraction.
You should have your truncheon confiscated!
