Well I can post a link direct to her facebook profile....

They're all family/friends etc...
If the police are involved don't!

have you done anything to deserve it or could it be mistaken identity?

Surely if the OP can access the slag's FB profile and doesn't know her, it's an open profile anyway and is in the public domain so he's not doing anything wrong by sharing it.

Why do you call her a slag?

Just a general insult I've plucked out of thin air coupled with the mood I'm in.

Is someone going to jump in and defend said slag's honour?

Nothing wrong with slag. It's just a by product of mining and steel production

Might be a good idea to install an automated call recording app on your phone.

Will be handy if they ring again.

They can do a triangulation thing on the number to tell the location when the call was made.

They won't be able to track the mobile or movements however.

facebook and Whatsap - didn't think of that and it's pulled up the same person twice!!
Can an audio clip be uploaded to Facesap? And tagged to someone else's profile?
Just asking, not suggesting that the OP should. Oh no, that would be very passive aggressive.

Maybe he meant it in a Danny Dyer type way, you know "Slaaaaag" as opposed to "slag"

Maybe back in the 90s.

Just out of professional curiosity, what qualifies you to make the above statement? There is such a thing as Call Data Records. It is used extensively to do the things which you state are not possible.

OP, have a look on Truecaller - it may give you (or may not) more details on the telephone number. Have you changed your telephone number in the past few months by any chance?

I worked for the police a few years back as a civvy and did some work with the department who handled all things like this. The phone companies were very stringent about releasing the live triangulation data. It had to be authorised by the chief constable and there had to be a demonstrable immediate danger to life for it to be agreed.

Historical data like was person X in place Y at a particular time was easier to get but still required a lot of authorisation but could be used to confirm if someone was in an area where a crime was committed - wasn't perfect obviously as it only showed the phone was there and of course the toe rag had "lent it to their mate"

I'm waiting to hear back from the police, once they get back to me I'll see what to do.

Does the pic on the facebook account match the pic on whatapp? Plenty of fake FB accounts around. Also download an app called Truecaller and enter the number..if another true caller member has this number saved in their mobiles phonebook it will show you what name. E.g I search a number and get "Uncle Tom" or Tom Plumber. Good luck ;-)

Just tried truecaller and it shows a hidden number called after the one i thought had made the call.

This didnt show up in my normal call log though but does now. I would have thought it ould be and "unknown" and not be visable. It as recieved at the same time as the number I thought made it.

Crossed lines?

Certainly my first thought would've been "OMG, someone's threatening me and my kids!!11!!! Call the police, NOW!!11" rather than "Have I upset someone recently? No? Must be a wrong number then."
