This seems the best place to ask - is it true that any police vehicle, even historic ones, can still be called into duty if a crime happens nearby and they happen to be the nearest police vehicles that can attend?
I was reading about the "Liver Run" documentary the other day, featuring some superb precision driving by a pair of Rover SD1s through London, and read somewhere that one of these was on its way to a car show when the officers driving it were called in to respond to a burglary.

The Bank of England say The polymer £5 note weighs around 0.7g
7 tons / 0.7g = 9 071 847.4 units
So about £45 Million
Or if they were 50s about 289 million 7 tons / 0.7g = 9 071 847.4 units
So about £45 Million

If it's being driven by a police office then yeah.
