In traffic i think it is rare that I am not tailgated and cut up. If I leave stopping distance a car will pull into it. If i overtake whilst risking 75mph (i'm 3 points on a <2 year old licence and dont want to lose my job) you can put money on the car behind being so close I can read his number plate from under my spoiler

I recall reading somewhere that a Brazillian car journalist for a local newspaper once wrote "I cant stand those drivers who do 95 mph 3" in front of your bumper"......

For the newer generation for 3" read 75mm...

For those of you ranting about the overtaking bit, the actual wording is.....

"overtake on single carriageway A-roads when there is oncoming traffic"

Slightly different from what has been represented so far in this thread.
