There idiots the lot of them. Forget food by nature, they want stuff concocted in labs, whilst constantly telling the rest of the world how bad they are.
You want to try that again in English?

confused
A lot of vegan alternatives to conventional foods are heavily processed and created using a fairly interesting variety of ingredients.

If you are a vegan who just eats veg, fruit, nuts, grains and pulses that’s one thing, but a lot of vegan convenience foods are far from healthy.

My motivation for eating meat is to stop ruminants from stealing food from ruminants. Some of whom are my friends.

How do you know if the person you’ve just met at a party is a vegan?

They will tell you.

I wonder, should we be worried about all the past Vegan jokes, they'll be sending the internet Police after us all if this happens........

No. There is no need for such protection.
Society probably has more important issues to deal with than protecting a confident, vocal, non-vulnerable section from non-existent/insignificant prejudice.

But other evolutionary dead ends like pandas, koalas etc are protected

My son (at Uni) went vegetarian I think to impress a girl who was. Now he's gone full evangelical vegan. I can just about cope with that but the mess he leaves in the kitchen cooking his chick pea concoctions and lentil mix now he's back for Christmas is unforgivable.

I think is how most get to veganism, it's a social thing..... I don't even mind it all that much, but it's the very middle class, "first world problems" thing which really annoys me, as well of course i'm really not very tolerant of people doing stuff to fit in, groupthink. I spent most of my teens doing that and it angers me looking back at those years, wishing i'd had the sense to just go my own way, my life would be very different if i'd done the things I enjoyed rather than trying and failing to fit in.

It's about as bad as people pretending to be "camp" just because it's the next cool thing to do... Put on a fake voice and mince around the place just to seek attention.

Why on earth would they need protection? Where is the evidence that they are routinely discriminated against? A bit of piss taking is not discrimination.

Adding protection for a life style choice makes a mockery of real protections.

Its snowflakery at its worst.
