nope, the Smart does a restricted 87mph! how very PC.

But the Thunderace does 170.. allegedly.

Of course *we* don't speed.

Got caught in France on Calais - Dieppe flat out my speedo said 160mph the pig said 147mph; it was dry and no one else was about; fined 5000ff and escorted to the port. Conversely, got stopped going to Le Mans doing 120mph and told I should speed up....Venturi!

My first ticket was in the mid-80's, when I was doing paediatrics - I was asked to go from one hospital to the maternity hospital a mile away, because another doctor was struggling to resuscitate a brand new baby. I went down a little road at 80 mph, dived into theatre and the baby had decided to start breathing. I then had to go back to A/E, to see a kid with a head injury. So I went back down the same road and was pulled for 34 in a 30! I tried to explain, but it was a smart arse cop, enjoying his power, so I just said "Give me the ticket, I've got more important things to do, and I hope it's nt your child you're delaying me from seeing!" TW@T!! Obviously kept the last word to myself....
