It depends how many beers you've had?Now am I ok to drive it tomorrow or am I still in dry dock till the tax disk arrives est next wed??
If you have drunk several crates of premium beers/lagers it could take you a week to sober up!
Tried to tax mine last week.
MOT expired. st ! Didn't realise that. It's ok though, as it is parked off road,
and not been used for a while. MOT'd on Thursday, nip down to the local post office Sorry, can't tax it, as your insurance runs out in a week or so? New insurance cert not received yet (expires 10th July).
Go online, and my insurance is good, so will be with me in 5 days or so.
Didn't a previous chancellor stick 5p on a litre, with a view to getting rid of discs?
In reality of course, it's a bloody good way of keeping tabs on Joe Public.
A pain in the arse either way.

They did get rid of that particular disc, they replaced it with the vehicle excise duty disc which is the one you are paying for now.MOT expired. st ! Didn't realise that. It's ok though, as it is parked off road,

I didn't know there was a period where if your insurance is due to run out you couldn't get a disc. I thought if your vehicle was insured then that was good enough, regardless of how long was left on the policy.

Usually you can go in with a couple of days short term insurance and valid MOT without a problem. All they need to do is ensure that it's insured for the day beginning the tax. As long as you can give them that assurance it should be fine. Go to another PO.
