Potential to loose £10k from the sale of my car! HELP! SCAM
Discussion
Haymarket - please could we ask for a comment from you as to why you would continue to accept advertising from an advertiser that is quite clearly dishonest. You have tens of thousands of users in this scumbags area yet he is just one business. Surely you'd be better appreciated if you told this guy to go fk himself and look out for your members instead.
He still got several hundred thousand pounds of cars advertised on his website. We should be allowed to name and shame in this instance.
I do wonder what the finance companies shown in the bottom of his website a few of which are reputable/well known would make of his dodgy dealing. I suspect if they withdrew then his business could well collapse - again.
He needs teaching a serious lesson in life

According to the other thread, his adverts have been pulled from on here. I can't find anything on auto trader but he's still listed in theaacars.com
His own site has 79 cars listed, 11 of which are marked sold.
It needs someone local to keep an eye on the showroom to see any immediate effects of others collecting their cars!

I didn't see this thread when originally posted. I'm glad you got your money back my brother went through the same for £11k, the buyer was in the Navy in his case must have been just before yours iirc. We live local and the dad/owner kept doing a disappearing act when we popped in for a chat and needed up speaking to his son who claimed knew nothing. Actuay he said bacs had been paid into the wrong account originally so had to wait then bouncing cheque's followed.
What really gets up your nose is his son driving past your house in his 911 every day as they live around the corner. Thankfully managed to get money back in 2 instalments.

Reading the South Wales section, it looks like the show room is now empty, he is setting up under a new name Autopia Solutions and there's a new website.

If that is him then Gripoly Mills is a definite step down in terms of exposure/quality being off the main drag where most of the main dealers are located.. Wonder if the poor thing has taken a financial hit?
