Can you find another country in the world that is better?

Feel free to change the subject if you haven't got a reasoned response.

Even if it happened to be the best country in the world, would you be quite happy to live in Saddam's Iraq, Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Russia, Pol Pot's Cambodia, Mugabe's Zimbabwe, Idi Amin's Uganda...............

Personally, even if this country was twice as good as you seem to think it is, I wouldn't see why its citizens should have to put up with the kind of problems those that don't look at the establishment through rose tinted spectacles keep highlighting.

Are you offering to pay my emigration costs if I come up with one?

Or just to try to talk Gordon into giving me a refund of all the stealth taxes he's ripped me off with, and compensation for all the services I've never received in return, and more compensation for all the services that I should have received and had to pay for myself, so that I can afford to pay my own passage.

Some countries you don't pay much tax, and you don't get much in return.

Some countries you pay loadsa tax and get loads in return.

Here you pay loadsa tax, get nothing in return, even have to buy your own refuse truck to get your bin emptied having paid phenomenal local and national taxes, your kids are encouraged to go to uni instead of claiming the dole to massage the unemployment figures, then have to pay for the priviledge and take out a loan to live off, you pay a fortune in road related taxes and duties, then a further fee if you want to use them efficiently.....

And now they want to penalise you to the tune of tens of thousands of punds if you forget to renew your insurance.

Without appeal.

Without even a trial.

Without even prosecution.

And you think this is the best country in the world.

Some people are easily pleased!

Or have I got hold of the wrong end of the stick again?

Obviously with the current levels of disqual. for a few minor speeding offences the numbers DWD will continue to increase. The enforcement of inflexible but unnecessary laws (like artificially low limits) will lead to the consequences of that enforcement being disrespected by increasing numbers.

Well it is just leading people to have less respect for the law, when what we really need is exactly the reverse.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Wot?!

Just like speed cameras then?

And ANPR?

And fines?

And other taxes?

How come whenever I see ANPR there are either no, or just one single solitary car, to be seen?

I suppose all the rest are pursuing the murderers flagged up by the system!

And how come whenever I see a report of its success, there are lots of fines and prosecutions, and a single solitary example of a real criminal, but no breakdown of all the rest?

Perhaps its just my local force?

It aint me who's looking for the argument:

I'm just pointing the finger at whoever is.

I suppose the Slasher was let off loads of assaults and the homicidal driver didn't have his car confiscated because they are targeting scrotes with this new initiative?

Or have I got hold of the wrong end of the stick again?

Wakey WAKEY!

It must be your force, as mine operated ANPR with at least 3 other vehicles and often armed officers....

While I'd never condone driving without insurance, no doubt this campaign will also catch many who have been forced to drive illegally due to a ban. Where this ban has resulted from a few minor speeding offences they have my sympathy.

When you disqualify drivers in such large numbers, you force reasonable people to take extreme measures to protect their livelihood.

That mein Liebchen is sadly happening all to often --- people take biggest chances.

Other than that, it is obviously a good initiative and I hope that it removes many scrotes and dustbins from the roads.

sadly people will just go out and buy another throwaway for peanuts and carry on DWD ....

And there is a case in paper today concerning a Hit And Run cop who was fined £400 by Bolton Magistrates for no insurance - but not jailed. and there was also the small matter of perverting the course of justice by spraying his car a different colour and trying to get his girlfriend to taake the blame as well - and does he get fired?

NO!

And all the cops in his nick are absolutely appalled as well.........

Story is true - not sensationalised at all. Pal of Mad Mog's treated his three victims in Manchester A&E ......

He was only copped because his girlfriend did sensible and correct thing and reported him .....

I take it you prefer scintillating soundbites.

Glad you can sleep soundly in your bed whilst justice and democracy are being undermined.
