Ok I will try to finish and relieve the many who are near death.

As I said no damage to Panda (confirmed by assessors report) so don't think wife reversed in and destroyed front end of taxi.

No news until renewal - increase in premium of 40%. Spoke to insurers, said that they would put claim on hold so no premium increase, will take a couple of days to sort. Rang back told I was given the wrong info on no premium increase but they would pay £25 compensation for wrong info.

Then 10 minutes later call back from our insurers saying the had chased claimants insurers for response to evidence provided on damage and wife's statement.

And now the outcome...........................

Withdrawal of claim ! No increase in premium.

Don't think I have started a new trend of stories in installments.

So basically your wife wasn't involved in an accident, her insurance company didn't pay out to anyone and her premium didn't increase.

And you have taken 2 days to tell us this non-event in instalments.

Don't give up the day job, unless you are a novelist, in which case snap your pencil in half at once.

Why...........?

OP should be able to claim compensation for the time that he has had to spend to refute this spurious allegation.

You said "this was too long a story to post in one go ".

It really wasn't . In fact if there was ever a story to post in one go , this was it.

A few years ago I was looking at the Honest John site and someone asked where most of the knowledgeable posters had gone, a reply came saying they had migrated to Piston Heads because they were fed up of the posters who just wanted to criticise. Funny how things work out.

I mean generally if folk have a story to share on here they try to explain it all in one post, unless it's continually developing.

Are you absolutely sure it was a Vito and not a Viano? the Vito is usually a van, it's the Viano which is more commonly used as a taxi.

Also was it a Hackney or Private Hire?
Vito taxi is a custom version of a vito panel van with LTI style interior layout and used in a lot of capital cities where either that, a Peugeot M8 or a TXI are the only allowed choices.

What was the story that needed sharing?

Just to check I've got the story straight as I may have skipped some detail in the excitement.

Nothing happened, then someone said something had happened, but after chasing it up for a bit it turned out that nothing had indeed happened. That sound right?

Most of them are still here so post something worth posting, not spread over multiple posts, and you will get a better reaction.

Unless you have been in prison, you chosen method of posting a non event doesn't work hehe

Another needless remake. The Swedish original was much darker and more edgy.

I heard it got cancelled as the exec he was pitching the series to died of old age. This came as a surprise to the OP, as the conversation had evolved from the single part story that took 30 seconds to discuss whereby the exec was telling the OP about his 30th birthday celebrations that he had enjoyed the week before the meeting started.

I hope the OP can sleep at night with the Exec's blood on his hands.

I suppose he lies down and counts the one sheep.
