Why do you have an issue with it lol.
It is a legal plate. That is the end of it.
I don’t see why your number plate has be an extension of your necessaries. It is a legal plate. That is the end of it.
As I have said you can have a standard plate and then there is no need to start pulling up the regs, just seems like opening yourself to issues. As said I must lucky that I have things in my life that occupy my time so I don’t get so concerned with the size of my number plates.
There are so many dodgy plates out there and many people I see with them have serious issues with their driving. Like the Range Rover that passed me 100 yards before leaving at jct 27. All the money in the world and they will risk a motorway smashes rather than turn off behind me going 70mph in lane 1.
I keep debating a private plate but go off the idea.

Moving to Texas isn't really an option for most of us.
it differs from state to state. Some states require a front plate. Some people run this which can be folded away using a switch>

I think people will always try to get around regulations
In Canada and the US personal plates are cheap and common but in some jurisdictions you need a front plate as well as a rear. This causes all kinds of ridiculous behaviour with plates being displayed on the dash. Also you get people trying to slip in insidious messages and hoping authorities will not notice.
There was a case in Virginia where the tag line on the plate was “kids first”. The owner promptly had “eat the” as his plate until it wad revoked
I have lots of them.
Smart For Two : ALECK
Viper Green GT3RS : GRUNHLLE
991RS: NRBRGRNG
Green Wrangler: SOILENT
Mercedes SL: EHMENZ
CAYenne S ( dog car) : CAYENINE
Panamera Turbo wagon will be visiting the Nurburgring as always and will get NRDSCHLF
They do crack down on undersized or cut down plates or tinted covers though. It’s skl dirt cheap here. You buy your plate for $200 and can transfer it from car to car. No resale madness for crazy prices. You and transfer your plate with the car if you sell car but it is not a personal plate for new owner so it dies with car.
my BiL lives in CAL and although required to have a front plate does not have them fitted (very low fine like $20), he informs this is common because if both plates are stolen the private plate is removed from the system to stop cloning, if one plate is stolen you can order a replacement, all plates are manufactured by the state In Canada and the US personal plates are cheap and common but in some jurisdictions you need a front plate as well as a rear. When I was at balfour beatty they bought a load of merc 4 ton 4x4 tippers with a plough attachment like this>
They came with a reflective standard number sticker on the front of the bonnet. VOSA cared not but a Wiltshire roads policing officer stopped one. Decided the plate wasn't compliant and that the snow plough attachment was dangerous.
Everyone balfours had was taken off the road until a front plate was fitted in the normal place (ie were it can't be seen with the plough on)
Also they had a special plastic cover made for the metal front mount for the plough.

Is the GT3RS meant to be GRUNHALLE? Don't really get the connection to a long defunct English (despite the German sounding name) lager.Smart For Two : ALECK
