Maybe. But here's a different scenerio.

Totally agree Paul. Not enough is ever said about how much time we are all focusing on our speedometers. Even after completing the Advanced Driver course over a year ago I still feel compelled to check on a regular basis because of the ScameraVans.

I would much rather be using that valuable time looking out for kids, animals or other hazards.

"HAZARD AWARENESS" is the key. How can you ever formulate a driving plan if your always concentrating on that god damn dial !

Trouble is Paul, it's a political hot potato and, considering the amount of money involved, bound to be ensnared in corruption. No one is going to give up this kind of revenue without a fight.

We seem to have countless 'safety' groups and road safety 'experts' spouting the same nonsense with startlingly obvious flaws in their arguments........and nothing to contradict them apart from yourself, even the media can't make any difference.

Good luck mate

Thanks. Quite.

That's why I need to be able to command serious resources. There must be someone reading this who can help...

I know just what to do with 250,000 pounds next year. Really.

Absolutely, and thanks a lot. Now how about most of the other folk?

Do you guys know I've now put in over 7,000 hours of unpaid effort and I'm 6,500 pounds out of pocket? I'm going to Wakefield tomorrow to speak at a debate for the Institute of Civil Engineers and I'm going to the Conservative Party conference next week to speak at a fringe meeting? The Safe Speed web site is 250 pages and 320,000 words?

I'm really overloaded with work - and I don't really understand why I haven't hit large scale support by now. Perhaps I have to give up what I'm doing from day to day to raise funds instead? Trouble is I'm no expert at fund raising...

Paul,

Why not ask the ABD to publish an appeal in, "On the Road"?

That's been tried. I got two phone calls. No cash.
