Holy thread resurrection, Batman! - Streaky
Indeed!, The new poster is referring to the new cameras on the A24 southbound Southwater Bypass ( about 1 mile north of those at the beginning of thread), These are a new technology now on test, average speed type. If the first sign were removed I doubt you would notice the first camera behind the bridge.Another resurrection!
3 of what seems very similar to those A24 cameras have appeared in Llanelli in the last few weeks:

About the sizde of a Gatso, but in portrait rather than landscape. Grows out of its pole rather than than being on an arm. Just the one auxiliary camera, circled above (I'm not defining the colour
) and they haven't changed the (old, faded) lines on the road. Finding it very hard to get any info on these, this thread was one of the few useful results. Sounds like a digital camera (so - always on, no "was it loaded with film?" lottery) with added ANPR, still rear-facing only as far as I can tell (although that aux camera does feel like it's pointed at you as you approach from the other lane - see photo), possible it detects speed before you reach it?
Anyway [von]no need to worry if you don't break the limit[/von]![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
