And I'm not even going to start on your plainly biased reply.
Oh please do ! I would love to hear how my reply was "plainly biased".I have neither encouraged or discouraged the OP but merely offered to answer his queries and offer professional advice based on specific facts (which are best not disclosed on a public forum), so how do you infer bias based on that ?

but claiming from your bro's insurance? That's not on mate, any additional cost is going to sky rocket his insurance premiums in the future so you could do him a favour by keeping schtum.
If someone is claiming off him already, the insurance implications are going to be no worse. If there was serious injury, causing weeks or months of pain or disability, then I'd expect my brother to claim off me, but if there's slight discomfort, like overdoing it at the Gym, I'd expect him to suffer in silence. FYI my role is to investigate road traffic accidents in the same way as the police do (for more serious and fatals). The locus reports and witness statements we produce for court are non-biased and to a far higher standard than the basic police reports (no offence to BiB).
We are instructed to do this by solicitors and insurance companies in order to establish liability, as the drivers involved often submit conflicting statements to their insurers. We are non-biased to either party but simply present the facts.
We use aerial and ground level photography and video to establish lines of sight and confirm road markings etc, plus advanced software to analyse and reconstruct directionality, speed and points of impact. This can include bulb filament examination to confirm if brake lights or indicators were on at time of impact.
We have uncovered several instances of fraud and assisted in successful prosecutions. We have also helped a great many decent motorists to recover damages and keep their no claims bonus when the at fault driver has tried to deny liability or blame the innocent party.
Our website is several years out of date because we have been so busy and have not needed to market our services since we are now established and well respected in our field, although we choose to remain small and operate only in the NorthWest in order to maintain a high quality service.
So how does that equate to 'ambulance chasers' harassing people in shopping centres with clipboards ?

If you had whiplash you would not be sat at home typing on a computer, my wife was driving my Landy and got hit hard on the Mancunian way, she drove home after someone helped free the rear wheel and was fine, for a few hours...she went to the docs in case and as said was sent to hospital then a specialist etc, she did have whiplash and still suffers to some extent today, claim settled in around three years.
The main difference here of course is she just wanted the pain to go, the money was not even thought about and then only from the point of the specialist bill etc.
Similar thing happened with me, I was a front seat passenger in a rather nasty crash. Felt fairly normal for the first couple of hours, well aside from the other injuries that is. However soon after I had a pain that spread from my neck all the way down my back. Quite simply, I could barely move for the next 2 weeks and spent most of it stuck in bed or on the sofa. Not nice, yes I claimed but not for some silly amount. The main difference here of course is she just wanted the pain to go, the money was not even thought about and then only from the point of the specialist bill etc.
Not necessarily saying the OP is at it, but nothing infuriates me more than false injury claims
To this day, 6years on, I still can't move my neck all the way to the right and can't stand for more than a couple of hours.

Just as an aside, how does filament examination work with indicators when they are turned off 50% of the time (on-off flashing) , even when they are in use.Russ

haha - that picture on his profile, where he's sat in his TVR... it's actually in a lay-by waiting for a the big yellow van with the blue lights to go past...
Well if I was so inclined I could certainly catch it easily enough with a 4.3 litre V8 (or in my Tuscan S) - both of which can eat zit yellow elises for breakfast (on or off track) !Thanks for looking but didn't realise this was a dating site ?

Russ
You are quite right - it is not 100% reliable and only of any use on a very small percentage of cases. Even less so now that a lot of new cars use LED lights.Russ
Just one of the tools that we can or have used in the past to help establish who was telling the truth and who was telling porkies !!
Thankfully most cases are easier - although it is ultimately for the court to establish liability, not us.

So why put your picture up? And since we're playing "my car's faster than your's", buy something quick mate.
Why not ? I've got nothing to hide !I actually like the elise by the way (and all things lotus) and for such a small engine it is amazing on twisty roads or track. Unfortunately due to being 6'7" tall I have no chance of getting in one, or even the exige (which I tried).
Is the Tuscan S not quick ? 0-60 in well under 4 seconds and I hit 176 on an airfield (GPS not speedo, which showed 195 !). Chassis not as tight as Lotus, but with Nitron shocks its pretty damn good and a hell of a lot cheaper than foreign exotica.
Anyway I like it, so no need for any more dick measuring here thanks .....

according to the order sheet 'solar yellow' - which is more orange than the average zit (but being 37, i can't remember what zits look like)i could stoop to 'it's not so fast on the back of an AA van' gags, but as i love Tivs, i won't...
Is that so yours can blend in when it's on the back of the AA van?
(I've got a TIV too!)
