The worst thing I have ever seen happen to my best mate in 2001.

Five biker mates and I were going down the motorway on our hols to Scotland for two weeks (we never made it), we had all stopped for lunch, it was a hot day and we were in no hurry so my mates all took of there leathers and packed them away, all but me, I never go no the bike without them no matter how hot it is or the distance I am going. My mates took the p1ss out of me. We all were going about 75 up the M6 not a car insight.

We were all very experienced bikers having been on bikes for 10 years or more and done track days, extra training etc. all bike were 900c or over. We were travelling staggered so we could all see ahead.

The fist biker we think hit a very small bit of old lorry tire or a stone (the police don’t know either) what ever it was stuck to the sticky tyres and was thrown into the guy behind’s face. He doped the bike into my path which hit my front wheel, I dropped onto my side and slid up the road. My bike slid past me and when I stopped about 30 metres up the road, my ass was on fire but I got up and looked round. All my mates had stopped and were running to the first biker to go down. I walked up to were he was and saw something which I will never forget. All his skin was gone, left on the road and I could see his bones on his chest and legs, one arm was just gone. He was screaming, which I will also never forget. He died two days later; he had massive blood loss, and had no chance. He left behind two kids and a wife, who I still see sometimes.

I have had so many mates killed on there bikes but this was so stupid, if he had had his leathers on he would of walked away like me.

If you are one of the guys who were there, I am sorry to bring this story up again ring me if you want me to take it of this site.

Talking about hard shoulder calamity,

I was once stuck in the snow on M62 and no one was moving at all!
Some chav took to the hard shoulder to drive around the traffic jam.
However, when everything got moving again, the chav was soon spotted stuck in the snow a bit further up the road!
Seemed to get what he deserved!!!

My worst thing was today, when I saw on a distant bridge 3 white cars parked up.

Alarm bells started ringing, but luckily for once I was actually driving to the speed limit.

Still pooped myself a bit though, when I got nearer and saw 2 of the cop cars move off and then start coming down the slip road just as I was going past it!
The other bib had a gun on a tripod pointing at all the approaching traffic.

Is nowhere safe to speed nowadays for goodness sake!

Not seen any accidents luckily although thought I was gonna see one last year when following an obviously pissed person driving on the M25 and veering backwards and forward between lanes 1 and 2. Still not quite sure how he never managed to hit anyone.
