Isn’t that the exact definition of a ‘public’ forum? You put yourself out there asking for people’s opinions, if you don’t like the answers there’s no one to blame but yourself. I haven’t seen anything on this post that would be classed as trolling or bots.
As for ‘bullying/wouldn’t be allowed in the workplace’ etc - have we really got to such a state that if anyone disagrees/questions the comment made by (an equally anonymous) poster, we just suck it up as the truth, not wanting to question it for fear of being called a bully?
My personal view is that if I wanted some genuine advice I’d have contacted the company concerned and asked them, not plastered it on a forum, expecting everyone to agree with my opinion.
There is questioning the content and providing advice, and then there is belittling someone. Which one is this?As for ‘bullying/wouldn’t be allowed in the workplace’ etc - have we really got to such a state that if anyone disagrees/questions the comment made by (an equally anonymous) poster, we just suck it up as the truth, not wanting to question it for fear of being called a bully?

I'm all for free speech and open discussion but anyone posting a thread on here these days has to caveat everything they say before the replies even get started.
Feels like a shark tank most of the time.
Your post reassures me there are nice people on here still.
Whilst the facts are what they are, contractually etc, I do think that some consideration should be given to the reason for the parking regulations. The whole point is to stop people who are not patrons from leaving their car there all day.
I feel that the plan is not to 'catch' people like you.
In the case that they are actively spending their hard earned dollars in the restaurant, it's a bit harsh, commercially, to whallop them with a excess parking charge.
Follow the advice given on some of the forums set up to deal with these matters.
Facts are that McDonalds will not want to get involved, and Parking Eye are a bunch of scumbags ( other opinions are available.)
You have to navigate around that.
McDonalds are typically franchises with the owning company's name on a plaque on the wall.
You might want to write to them alongside the other avenues which you should keep up.
As I said, other opinions are available.
Good luck.

About 4 years ago I overstayed at McDonalds near Silverstone. My car was being serviced and I needed somewhere with wifi to work whilst I waited.
I purchased a McD breakfast and spent the morning buying coffee and OJ. I check with the store manager that they didn't have a problem with me working there. I didnt see the car park signs because it was really pissing down and I ran to the door. (I did revist and the signs in the area I parked had been turned around and were facing out of the car park rather than in)
About 3 weeks later I received a PCN because I had overstayed.
I contact Parking Eye, who basically said - "tough luck", I wrote to McD head office with an explanation and they wrote back saying they wouldn't cancel the ticket.
About 4 weeks later I get an email from PE and one from McD saying ticket cancelled.

Not wanting to be pedantic, but... your car was being serviced?...in the car park? I purchased a McD breakfast and spent the morning buying coffee and OJ. And received a ticket to his home address on a car that's not registered to him. Who gives their address when taking their car for a service? All they care about is a number to ring you on when your car's ready. r3g said:

Serviced at the garage I bought it from. But I was naïve and I made a mistake. The garage sent me a copy of the PCN and to take pressure off the garage and to be honest, I told PE that I was the driver. I was the driver and I did overstay, so I think it was right to hold up my hands. I asked for the ticket to be cancelled because I was a customer of McD for the whole time.

Pretty much every service I've ever had, the garage has asked for an address and printed it on the invoice. From main dealers, to independents, that seems pretty common?MrBen.911 said:

I really do wonder how people that are so easily offended survive day to day, in the words of a fictitious boxer, ‘The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows’.

I’m more upset that given an Elise for the morning you chose to go and watch it from McDonald’s rather than spend a few hours smashing it round local lanes! Richtea1970 said:
