I felt like an idiot contacting the police but DART told me I'd need to. I'm glad I did, the local police were quite reassuring. What I mentioned about possible crimes and fines is also important , I suspected mine was just used to transport a stolen car or a trader without insurance etc but you never know .

You need to as above advised just simplify the facts and report it to them.

-Car plates must have been cloned
-Here is proof not the same car (pictures , ask for email address)
-Please note the car has actually been sold since so I am not the current keeper, but at the time of the alleged offense the cloned vehicle was in my possession
Maybe rethink that bit first...

Depends on wording but think it's right...

Cloned vehicle = has been copied, i.e the real vehicle

You have made this so complicated.

I had the same with the Dart charge, just had 3 bullet points stating my case. Letter by return saying the fine has been rescinded.

Remember the person reading this doesn't want to be reading stories about your dog, just state the facts and thank them for considering your case.

Different story to me they didn't want to know until police were involved.

Not too much useful to add;

I had a plate cloned last year, I went to london on a day trip with my wife, stopped in a petrol station to ask if they had a toilet, near Camden.

They didn't have a toilet so I drove off, 2 days later had the police at my door!!!

The petrol station was subject to a armed robbery with my number plates!!!

Police took photos of my car and realised straight away from comparison that it wasn't my car
(Thank fk!)

They closed the case and agreed to remove the stop and taser marker from my car
(Only joking about the taser tongue out )

Nothing to add OP other than contact the police, explain to them the car has no pano roof and be honest and say it's obviously a cloned plate problem.

Explain the same to RBC, if they want to take you to court and you've tried your hardest to explain to them the problem, then fk em! smile

All the best

I think that’s Caversham....living in Reading for 20yrs i’ve Picked up a few tickets. As a biker some lanes are allowed and some aren’t...can be expensive learning if you are new to the area. Bus lane paint can be quite worn in places as well to catch you out.

In my experience someone with a brain will only look at the case when it Further along the process.
