Now you mention it, I didn't see any pipes or slippers.

If nothing else it proved I can out-run a pan

What's with you coppers and the lardy tourers btw? Gemini owned up to having a ZZR1100 at one point, and you with a blackbird.

The problem with this approach in paying for a course is that you know you would be going to a course to have the same speed kills message shoved down your throat that you get from traffic police at road side.

I've done the Lancashire speed awareness course (after camera got me at 35). At no point do they force any message at you. The only thing that could be considered as this is the mentioning of your chance of survival of a pedestrian being hit at various speeds (lasted about 10mins) the rest of the course is about hazard awareness and COAST. The practical driving was exectle the same - just driving around various roads (dual carrigeway, country roads, villages etc) and the instructor asking various questions about upcoming hazards, what the current speed limit is (yes I gave the wrong speed on 2 or 3 occasions).

From my experience I'm glad I took the course and not opted for the fine and points.

No idea what happens when the BiB pull you as I've never had it happen (better hope that my headlight unit arrives next week as I may get pulled for broken light otherwise)
