Caught for speeding Germany
Discussion
I'm always interested in this topic.
Do people believe that foreign drivers should be allowed to break UK speed laws with impunity and disregard any attempts to fine them?
If, say, lots of Bulgarians were coming to the UK, speeding and being sent fines, would people here advise them not to pay?
(I'm aware this can of course be the case, due to the systems in use).
What about a fine for jumping a red light? 'well it was late at night and nothing was coming...yeah the UK sent me a fine, should I pay?'
Littering, dumping McDonalds rubbish out of car window, nah don't pay the fine, unlikely they'll chase it up if you come back to UK.
Driving without insurance? Well they can't endorse my French licence, I'll just ignore the fine.
Dartford tunnel, why pay? I'll just drive through with my German registered car. Where they going to send the fine? Ha ha.
If you are happy with not paying other country's fines then you can't, in my opinion, moan if it happens vice-versa.

I love how Boris Bvlodla gets treated with bile and disdain if he comes over and abuses traffic law, yet if it's us over there how dare they!!! Dont they know we're british etc. etc.
Exactly. Easiest way to avoid speeding fines is to not speed... just because you're in another country doesn't make it okay.jdw100 said:

Irnoically, the relationship in place currently allows the european countries to request UK regiestered vehicle details, however, the UK doesnt have any reciprocal agreements in place to seek the same information in return.Do people believe that foreign drivers should be allowed to break UK speed laws with impunity and disregard any attempts to fine them?
