Fair enough mate, look after yourself and your family. Personally I find this sort of intrusion absolutely disgusting but symptomatic of the kind of country we now seem to live in.

There are political movements and wranglings in the 'police service' at present time and officers 'talking out of line' might find themselves in hot water. Not something that I wish to find myself in, with 19 years left to retirement and the trafpol job of boys' dreams....
Consequently, my regular 'no holds barred' speeches and such like will have to be more moderate and thought out before posting. Common sense really on my behalf, which I sometime throw to the wind, along with Caution.
I hope you can understand and sympathise with my position....

Besides factual information and general information of road safety .... nowt wrong with that ...
Nowt wrong with voicing opinion about flawed safty policies either and suggesting ways to improve it.
Now wrong with being a Yorkshire man (did you not tell Wildy when you first joined that you hail from Pennines -border country between Lancs and Yorks?) who says what he blewdy well likes and thas cannot argew wi' us tha knoooows!

I have appreciated the general tone of your contributions here Gary, and I think the messages of support for you are entirely merited. That does not prevent me from strongly disagreeing with your views on certain subjects, but there we go.
You must of course do whatever you feel is right, as I am sure none of us would want to see you get into hot water in your work/career on account of what is said here.
Have a good day and try to concentrate on nicking the real baddies.
