waistcoat damaged by drycleaner
Discussion
I put my 3 piece suit in for dry cleaning and the idiots put a safety pin through the silk back of my waistcoat to attach an label. This has resulted in damage to the waistcoat. The damage is 2 small holes from the pin. This may appear to be minor but it wasn't damaged before it went in. The waistcoat is part of a 3 piece suit worth £630 and the waist coat cant be bought separately. I want to pursue compensation of the full value of the suit which is £630 since I cant buy the waistcoat separately. The company has offered a good will gesture of £100. I have rejected this. What are my options, thanks.

Seek legal adviceBut, on a serious note. Is it really that noticeable?

So a cheap suit has two small holes in an inconspicuous position because you failed to ask the cleaners not to pin their ticket in a particular area of fabric?
Get a fg grip.
I'm currently sitting in a suit that cost me <£50Get a fg grip.
I think you could be reasonable and at least call the OP's suit 'medium priced'

How old is this suit?spookly said:
I think you're pissing in the wind with this one.
They have offered £100 which seems very reasonable and probably more than it would cost to have a tailor repair it.
Why would you think they should pay the full retail price of a used suit? How old is it?
This. Just like if someone bumps your car, you get it repaired, not replaced. They have offered £100 which seems very reasonable and probably more than it would cost to have a tailor repair it.

This place is so far disconnected from the real world at times. Honestly two pin holes.

£100 seems generous bite their arm off.Give yourself a slap man.
You are never going to get £630 for two pins holes, it's new for old insurance it's a dry cleaners.
Think the Ops expeactations are far to high
