Afternoon All,

Just a quick question re a recent parking ticket I received.

I parked up in a marked bay in the City (London), purchased my ticket (got a receipt) ticket in car then popped into work.

Came out to find PCN on my window, when I looked then ticket had blown upside down on my dashboard when I shut the door.

Obviously didn't see that when I left, so have been ticketed with 'Parked without clearly displaying a valid pay and display ticket'.

I have the ticket and I have the receipt for purchasing the ticket - is it worth an appeal or am I wasting my time on this one?

Cheers

The warden might well have taken a photograph, but appealing doesn't cost anything (except the stamp) - Streaky

Good point - will give it a go and see where I get.

I'm in the wrong as should have checked the ticket, but if i can save the £50 then happy days

You can appeal as mentioned, only takes a bit of time. I don't think you will get anywhere unfortunately - as I had the same scenario and got a very patronising letter explaining to me that it was 'failure to display' and not failure to purchase that they had charged me for, complete with a photo of the upside down ticket clearly visible. Have to say that did smart a little, because the moron had clearly worked out what had happened and had even zoomed in to show it was upside down.

After a few more pointless letters I gave up on the injustice of it and to follow someones elses advice on here...'took it to be just another piece of scensoredt that had smacked me in the face during my walk down the path of life'. thumbup
