You will have read about the film "Nine Songs".

It contains (apparently almost exclusively) scenes of non-simulated sex. As it is reasonable to assume that the actress Margo Stilley was paid for her involvement ... isn't this prostitution?

Isn't it also the case that the producers and cinema operators who will make money from this, will be "living off the proceeds of immoral earnings" (or whatever the charge is nowadays)?

She is not selling her body for sex but her talents as an actress, a different kettle of fish. So not prostitution.

DVD

PS. How do you know it was the real thing and not just burb to sell the film?????? The only time no complaint when the camera flashed...
Oh, you mean like in marriage?

My point was that she was being paid to have sex (assuming the blurb and reports from Cannes are correct, apparently the oral sex - although according to a past US President this is not "sex" - and ejaculations are very real) and not to act out scenes of intercourse.

Would a defence for a "common prostitute" be to say that she was being paid to act as a wife?

Interesting debate, I await DVD's response, then I will stop to prevent any accusation of "trolling".
