What are the rules about lorries completely blocking a road to make a delivery?
In our village one of the pubs has no footpath on their side of the road, in order to deliver the lorry needs to only just allow enough space to get kegs off. Today the DHL driver just parked in the middle of the road and any traffic that wanted to get past had to put 2 wheels on the opposite side pavement.
When I stopped and suggested he was being a tad inconsiderate he went in to one, becoming confrontational and abusive.
Interestingly DHL have no contact details to suggest someone has a quiet word with the driver.

Thank you bobfett, done and got a reply, Aka Kerly you presume wrong, lbc only by braking the law and driving on the footpath as in the op, shovelhead keyboard warriors don't go and talk to people, thank you Martin 4x4 the only person who answered the question, shoehorn his colleagues for the past 20 years have managed to do it and not block the road, 4rephill the 3 words I had got out when he lost the plot were excuse me but,

Do you have a photo of the road?
Sorry only on my phone and not techy enough to be able to do a google link, other than it is at 51 09 47 71N 3 19 17 21 W nose to the t of north st, as you will see if he had gone back 20 ft he could have stayed as wide or he could have parked 2 ft closer the wall.
I don't have an issue with him parking, preferably a bit more considerately, I have an issue with him having a hair trigger temper and driving a truck.
